IN ADVANCE OF THE FAILING LIGHT
2010
Plastic bags, mylar, neon lights, motion sensor and air pump
IN ADVANCE OF THE FAILING LIGHT depicts an abstract landscape of what was/ is/ could be. This installation is inspired my deliberations about evolutionary theory, human nature and the pacific trash vortex while listening to the music of God Speed You ! Black Emperor. IN ADVANCE OF THE FAILING LIGHT uses quotidian objects and recycled materials to explore the all too human relationship between voyeurism, destruction and the struggle for survival on this planet.
